Services and Sunday School

Sunday Church Services:
The Sunday services are based on Weekly Bible Lessons from the Christian Science Quarterly. These Bible lessons include readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which were ordained by Mary Baker Eddy as Pastor of the Church of Christ, Scientist.  These readings comprise our sermon and are accompanied by hymns and music offerings.

Christian Science churches offer services, worldwide, in every state in the United States and in 80 countries.

Wednesday Testimony Meetings:
Testimony meetings are also held worldwide every week and include readings from the Bible and Eddy's Science and Health that speak to a current need in the community or world.  Following the readings, the congregation is invited to share experiences of spiritual healing and insight gained from prayer, study and practice. You are welcome to join online or listen to the replay of the Testimony Meeting at The First Church of Christ,Scientist, Wednesdays at 2 PM EST.

Several area churches have conference call capability to attend their services by telephone. Pittsburgh (Oakland) and Sewickley churches have information listed under there name in area churches.

Sunday School:
The Sunday School welcomes all children and young people up to age 20 to classes where they learn about God, prayer, healing, and the relevance of moral and spiritual law to their everyday lives.

The basis for the Sunday lessons is the Bible and include a focus on The Lord’s Prayer, The Ten Commandments and The Beatitudes.

Younger Children:   A children’s room is available for children under 3.
